# setup-rust-action

Sets up a specific Rust toolchain for use in your GitHub Actions workflows.

# Usage

Provide a `rust-version` with the desired toolchain version to install.

You can combine it with `matrix` to test different Rust toolchains in different
platforms!

```yml
name: Test Rust project
on: [push]
jobs:
  test:
    runs-on: ${{ matrix.os }}
    strategy:
      matrix:
        os: [ubuntu-latest, windows-latest, macOS-latest]
        rust: [stable, nightly]

    steps:
    - uses: hecrj/setup-rust-action@v1
      with:
        rust-version: ${{ matrix.rust }}
    - uses: actions/checkout@master
    - name: Run tests
      run: cargo test --verbose
```

## inputs

The following inputs can be provided with the `jobs.<job_id>.steps.with` yaml key.

| rust-version | ✖        | The toolchain name, such as stable, nightly, or 1.8.0  | String                  | stable  |
